Can I play the DMC-122 Editor in my favorite host?

The DMC-122 Editor program is not a plugin, it is a stand-alone executable that runs on its own. The sound of the VB3-II is not a plugin, it is part of the Editor application and can't be used elsewhere.

The Editor can be used without the DMC-122 connected only for programming an 'offline' SetUp. In order to play the VB3-II engine, the DMC-122 must be connected to the editor.
